NSCN/GPRN – YA fully intact, rejects baseless allegations

The entire NSCN/GPRN both civil and military under the leadership of Mr. Yung Aung is fully intact, totally rejects the baseless allegations made by the expelled leaders led by Niki Sumi

Kohima, July 31 (NEx): The NSCN/GPRN – YA on July 30, 2020, totally rejects the press notification and baseless allegations made by the expelled leaders led by Niki Sumi against the current leadership of the party which was circulated in the social media.

A press release issued on July 30, 2020 stated that the entire NSCN/GPRN both civil and military under the leadership of Mr. Yung Aung is fully intact and the recent development does not harm or change the status quo of the party.

The NSCN/GPRN – YA on July 29 through a press release informed of expelling it’s officials – Lt. Gen. Niki Sumi, Dy. C-in-C Naga Army, Mr. Starson, Kilonser, NSCN/GPRN, and Lt. Gen. Nyemlang, General Staff Officer-I, Defence, Naga Army, for organising illegal meetings without authorisation from the party, failing to report to Council Headquarters even after repeated callings, heavy misappropriation of party fund, encouraging and spreading “ISM” and divisive policies within the party, it said.

The NSCN/GPRN – YA alleged that the expelled leaders are only trying to attract attention with their self appointed posts while working as agents of Tatmadaw and Indian Raw. It also stated that Niki, during the past few years has kept himself completely aloof from the daily affairs of the party refusing to report to the headquarters even after repeated calling letters.

When the entire NSCN/GPRN and the Naga army were threatened and engulfed by the armies of both occupational forces, Niki and his associates managed to travel around freely with full protection from the enemy. He has always been in support of a “Parallel government” within the party with the intent to officially divide the party based on artificial boundary line, the party alleged. Nyemlang and Starson, blinded by power has stoop so low and disgraced themselves by falling into his trap, it added.

The NSCN/GPRN further appealed to all Nagas not to be confused with the propaganda of the expelled group for they had no political vision whatsoever, and urged the public to examine the facts rather than fictitious reports.

The NSCN/GPRN and it’s members clarified that it does not want to harbor any hatred against it’s own brothers, but it will not tolerate with any conspirators or the violation of its sovereignty.
