NPP Condoles The Demise Of Late Tarun Gogoi

The National People’s Party, Nagaland State condoles the demise of veteran Congress Leader and three times Chief Minister of Assam, Late Shri Tarun Gogoi.

Kohima, November 24 (NEx): The National People’s Party, Nagaland State condoles the demise of veteran Congress Leader and three times Chief Minister of Assam, Late Tarun Gogoi.

Expressing that it is deeply anguished and shocked to learn about the demise, the NPP in it’s condolence message said, ‘With his death, the entire country along with the people of Assam has lost a staunch supporter of human rights and dignity. As a people’s leader, Late Shri Tarun Gogoi tried his best to uplift the lot of people belonging to all religious groups, communities and tribes.’

‘During his tenure as the Chief Minister of Assam, he not only brought about equitable and inclusive development of Assam but also laid emphasis on bringing the North Eastern region on the map of progress and development. He was greatly revered by his contemporaries as well as the young and upcoming leaders of all parties alike for his deep sense of dedication, wisdom, political acumen and sense of humor.

The entire rank and file of NPP Nagaland State pay our deepest respects and homage to the departed soul and offer our profound condolences to the bereaved family members including his wife and children.

The former Chief Minister of Assam and veteran Congress leader Tarun Gogoi passed away in Guwahati on November 23, 2020 following health complications at the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH).
