NPF Legislators committed to co-operate with state & central govt. on Naga Political Issue; NPF WC

Kohima, October 31 (NEx): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Working Committee, held a meeting on Friday, October 30, 2020, at the NPF Central Office Kohima and reiterates party’s stand on Naga political issue for Honourable, Acceptable and Inclusive solution.

The resolution adopted at the NPF WC meeting stated that it will ever remain committed to co-operate with the Government, both at the State and Central level, on Naga Political Issue.

While reiterating party’s stand on Naga political issue for Honourable, Acceptable and Inclusive solution, the NPF called upon the Naga Negotiating Groups to sit across the table and arrive at a mutual understanding.

On the issue of formation of common platform on Naga political issue comprising of MLAs and MP of Nagaland, the Working Committee after thorough deliberation decided to leave it to the wisdom of NPF Legislators Wing, it stated.

The leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister TR Zeliang in his statement said that given positive response and sincerity from the State Government to be active facilitators, the Legislators of the NPF proposes that a common platform be constituted under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister to work wholeheartedly towards achieving a significant development.

The NPF continues to stand by the call for “One Solution, One Accord”. A solution which will ensure a lasting peace in the region can only be through unity and mutual understanding and respect for each other, TR added.
