Kohima, June 18 (NEx): The NSCN (IM) on Friday, stated that, it has not involved in demanding a share of funds meant for COVID-19 and clarified that NSCN/GPRN have nothing to do with the news report of ‘various NSCN factions in Zunheboto allegedly seeking a share of the funds meant for battling the pandemic.’
The NSCN (IM) stated that it is in total solidarity with the state government’s fight against the wicked Covid-19 and said that it is not involved in any manner that goes against humanity at this particular juncture where all Nagas, irrespective of social/political standing are expected to fight together.
Earlier, Northeast Live TV has reported that NSCN cadres from various factions allegedly seeking a share of the funds meant for battling the pandemic. In a sensational revelation, Advisor of School Education, GoN, K. Tokugha Sukhalu said that there are reports of NSCN cadres of seven to eight factions under Zunheboto district demanding a share of the funds received to deal with the COVID situation.
Terming this incident unfortunate to Northeast Live, Sukhalu appealed to various NSCN factions to refrain from such activities especially at a time when the whole world is battling to contain the spread of the virus and to save people.
