North East SDG Conclave 2020 to be held at Assam: CM Rio to lead Nagaland delegates

Dimapur, February 18 (NE): A three days “North East SDG Conclave 2020” would be held from February Twenty Four with Minister of State (MoS) independent charge, Ministry of Development for North East Region (MDoNER), Government of India, Dr Jitendra Singh as main guest to give keynote address at Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati: Assam.

Welcome remarks will be delivered by Chief Minister of Assam, Government of Assam, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal. Vote of thanks for inaugural session will be CEO, NITI Aayog, Government of India, Shri Amitabh Kant, a notification said.

Delegates from Nagaland to be led by Honorable Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio are Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland, Shri Temjen Toy, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland, Shri Sentiyanger Imchen and Secretary, Department of Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland among others.

The whole North East India comprising of eight states would be attending the three days event, led by its own Chief Ministers respectively.

There will be eight technical sessions, which will be starting off from the second day as follows:

Technical Session 1: SDG in NER: Pathways for localization & achievement.

Technical Session 2: Drivers of economic prosperity & sustainable livelihoods.

Technical Session 3: Climate adaptive agriculture.

Technical Session 4: Nutrition security & Health and wellbeing for all.

Technical Session 5: Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

Technical Session 6: Communication, connectivity & infrastructure development.

Technical Session 7: Addressing inequality & exclusion in NE and

Final Session: Way forward & valedictory.
