Noklak Police Advises Public On Fire Safety

Kohima, March 13 (NEx): After three fire incidents at Noklak in the last 2 months (Jungle fire at Noklak town on February 8th, Komking jungle fire on March 1st, Domestic fire at Noklak town on March 11th, 2021), Noklak Police issued advisory for fire safety measures to be taken.

The SP Noklak, Dr. Pritpal Kaur Batra mentioned that the windy weather and dry climatic conditions at present, makes the fire spread more easily. However, timely intervention by fire services, police, local people and other security agencies led to subside the fire incidents everytime with no loss of life, she added.

The advisory from the police said that people are to be careful and cautious while doing jhum cultivation works. The people are also cautioned to avoid short circuit wiring and careless use of burning materials and advised storage of water reserves.

The Police further advised the people to approach Noklak Police station where one fire brigade is stationed for timely intervention in case of any emergency.
