Kohima, February 02 (NEx): Noklak Police observed Road safety month and conducted a seminar on road safety and awareness on Traffic rules and etiquette, which was imparted by Superintendent of Police Noklak Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS, on February 01, 2021, at Thang Old Council Hall, Noklak village. Over 200 drivers were imparted awareness on traffic rules and etiquette by Noklak Police.
The SP also demonstrated hands-on training on FIRST-AID for accident victims under the theme Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha.
Speaking on the ocassion, the Superintendent of Police, Noklak, explained on 3 arms of driving – driver, machine and road & bridges. The SP elaborated on driving license, registration, insurance, emissions test certificate, avoiding mobile and alcohol usage and sense of humanity. In case of Transport vehicles, certificate of fitness and all necessary permits should be properly maintained, SP added.
Sign, Symbols and traffic rules were also explained to the trainees. SP elaborated on do’s and don’ts and punishments under IPC and MV Act. First aid responses were also shown hands-on demonstration to the trainees so that they can save lives whenever any accidents happen in golden hours till medical help reaches.
Later, SP Noklak flagged off the Bikers Frontier Royal Enfield En-bloc Riders Club rally. The Rally covered the whole of Noklak Town and riders donated traffic sign boards to Noklak Police and created awareness in main areas of the town. More than 200 drivers and bike riders attended the program.
Short speeches were delivered by TRPO President, Hangthing and President Frontier Royal Enfield RE enbloc, Changkamba Chang who emphasized on safe driving.
ASI S. Phee, Noklak police spoke on Motor Vehicle Act and Project Manager TI project, Noklak, J.Khumong spoke on Prophylaxis in case of HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
The programme was chaired by S.I Mongthei, Noklak Police, Welcome address was said by Advisor MDU, Noklak, Mulang and Vote of thanks by VCC Noklak S.Panpan.
Meanwhile, Free Medical and dental Camp for drivers was also held in the venue by 45th Assam Rifles and CHC Noklak.
The programme was organised by Noklak police as an observation of National Road Safety month.
