No Covid-19 case in Nagaland, 45 tested negative, 2 results awaited | April 05, 2020

Kohima, April 05 (NE): Dr. Vizolie Z Suokhrie, Principal Director, Health and Family Welfare, GoN through Covid-19 bulletin informed that as on 05:00 pm, today, April 05, 2020 there is no positive case of Coronavirus detected in Nagaland.

A total of 47 samples for suspected Covid-19 were sent for test from Nagaland, in which 45 samples tested negative. Two samples results are awaited, informed the Covid-19 bulletin, today.

Principal Director informs that a total of 2368 people including students who have returned since March 06, 2020 have self reported to the respective surveillance team of the District and are under home quarantine and 3222 have already completed home quarantine period, it added.

Nagaland has 173 Isolation beds, said the report. The number of calls received through helpline stands at 47893. At present, twenty Foreigners are present at the state, 582 persons were screened today, added the report.

The Department of Health and Family Welfare has till now designated 4 (four) hospitals as COVID-19 Hospitals namely, Chedema Ayush Hospital, District Hospital Dimapur, TB Hospital Mokokchung and District Hospital Tuensang, with a total bed capacity of 210. Preparations are underway for designating another five hospitals as COVID-19 hospitals, which will increase the bed capacity by another 260.

The number of quarantine facilities in the State is right now 43 with 1264 beds.
