Kohima, March 17 (NEx): Directorate of School Education launched the Nischal’s Portable & Micro-scale Labs at Ruzhukhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021.

Speaking at the program, Advisor, School Education, KT Sukhalu IAS (Rtd) said that the newly installed lab will be of great help to the students of the school. He remarked that maths and science have been a big challenge for many students and hopes that the lab will not only simplify the process of learning maths, but will make it more interesting too.

Sukhalu urged the teachers to concentrate on learning the techniques during orientation training so that students will be able to pick up science and maths without any mind block or barriers. He also challenged the students to have determination, focus and patience in all walks of life but more so in maths. He further congratulated Nischal for all the hard work and his commitment for the younger generation and coming all the way to Nagaland to encourage the boys and girls.

Founder & Mentor, Nischal’s smart learning solutions, Nischal Narayanam said that across the world, most of the students have a fear and phobia and dislike towards mathematics mainly because at an early age, the foundation and fundamentals were not strongly learnt. He expressed confidence that once the students have command over the concepts and fundamentals of maths, learning the subject will be fun and one can even pursue a career in it.

He remarked that math being the father of all sciences should be an activity based learning and making it more joyful, fun and playful. He urged the students to have the scientific temperament and the vigour to correlate every concept they learn and apply this in real life. He stated that learning by doing is the most effective proven practice and establishing the math and science laboratory is to inculcate learning by doing. He also challenged the students to be catalysts in their journey of learning mathematics and sciences and transforming math fear into joy and urged the teachers to make the best use of the lab and make learning interesting and fun for the student.

Chief Executive, CR Rao, AIMSC Hyderabad, Dr Yugandhar also delivering a short speech said that the evolution of mathematics and computer science today will invariably shape our world tomorrow. He also said that the state of the art laboratories is highly innovative and students and teachers using the lab will bring paradigm change in the teaching and learning process. He added that CM Rao institute is playing an important role in executing crucial and sensitive projects related to mathematical and computer science. He further urged the students to take full advantage of the Nischal’s lab as it will help to remove math phobia among students and pave a way for better understanding of the subject.

Principle Director, School Education, Shanavas C, IAS also informed that similar full labs have been installed in Dr Neilhouzhu Kire GHSS Kohima, GHSS Dimapur, GHS Zunheboto and GHSS Mon and mathematic laboratory in GHSS Phek and GHSS Tuensang.
