Dimapur, December 27 (NEx): The NSCN/GPRN led by Gen. (Retd.) Niki Sumi on Saturday, December 26, 2020, condemned and rejected the media reports that ‘the NSCN/GPRN led by Gen. (Retd.) Niki Sumi is heading for surrender.’
A press Statement on Saturday informed that, NSCN/GPRN led by Gen. (Retd.) Niki Sumi stand strong with aspiration and commitment for Naga political rights till the time it is achieved.
‘On the invitation from the Government of India to join the peace process, NSCN/GPRN established contact with the government of India in order to revive the ceasefire and that should not be misconstrued in anyway as a sign of surrender or giving up Naga political rights,’ it stated.
‘The report that NSCN/GPRN led by Gen. (Retd.) Niki Sumi is heading for surrender, is outrageous and deserves utter condemnation for the simple fact that it is a false report,’ added the press statement.
‘NSCN/GPRN vehemently condemned the media houses that are propagating such malicious news, which is detrimental to the peace process,’ it said.
