1. Briefing on COVID-19 on May 17, 2020 for Nagaland
The Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, briefing on COVID-19 on May 17, 2020 for Nagaland, said that as of 4 pm today, a total of 952 samples have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 914 samples have been received and all have been tested negative. The results for the remaining 38 samples are awaited. Also, a total of 3004 persons have been screened and 1406 persons are under Facility Quarantine.
Regarding arrival of stranded people into Nagaland from other States, a total of 1382 persons have already arrived till date.
He added that a total of 759 persons are currently being monitored through the nCOVID-19 Nagaland- Visitors App.
2. DC Dimapur notifies on Quarantine Centre Requisition
The following facility centres have been requisitioned as quarantine centres for stranded people returning from outside the state post lockdown for Dimapur District:
Iddgah Madrassa – Golaghat Road
Jain Bhawan – Marwaripatti
Hindu Community Hall – Kalibari
Gurudwara Lodge – Marwaripatti
DurgaMandir Lodge – Marwaripatti
The Centres have been suggested by the respective communities and duly verified by the Accommodation Committee together with Medical Department and representative of Commissioner of Police. This order comes into force with immediate effect and will remain in force till further order.
3. ACVA Wokha unit donates Medical Equipment to CMC Vankhosung
All Commercial vehicle Association (ACVA) Wokha donated medical equipment including oxygen cylinder, oxygen regulator, B.P machine, Pulse reader, weighing machine, Statoscope, wheel chair and other materials to Christian Medical Center (CMC), Vankhosung, on its 6th Foundation which was observed at its office chamber on May 17, 2020 at new Riphyim Baptist Church building, Wokha. Dr. Rilanthung Odyuo, Managing Director CMC during the short function held at the hospital complex expressed gratitude to the Officials of ACVA for their generous contribution towards the hospital.
4. DC Dimapur to Convene a Meeting with DTF Dimapur
DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi to convene a meeting of District Task Force to discuss matters relating to COVID-19 pandemic in Dimapur District at DC’s conference hall on May 18, 2020. All the concerned members of the District Task Force, Dimapur have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.
5. ADC requests for one Platoon of IRB for Tening town
ADC, Rhosietho Nguori has requested the government for one platoon of IRB for Tening Town on May 16, 2020.
A letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, Peren stated that the present police personnel in Tening Town in not enough to handle the situation of curfew 144 CrPC. According to ADC as per standard operation procedure of quarantine centres one uniformed personnel is required in each quarantine centre.
