1. Briefing on COVID-19 on May 04, 2020 for Nagaland

As on Monday, May 04, a total of 708 samples have been sent for testing from the State, and results of 679 samples have been received and all have been tested negative. The results for the remaining 24 samples are awaited.

2. DC Peren to convene a meeting on lockdown extension

In view of the lockdown for another two weeks from May 04, 2020 and subsequent relaxation of certain activities and possible movement of stranded people and movement of stranded people between the district in the state and within states, DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has notified for a meeting with Peren District Task Force on COVID-19 in the Conference Hall, Office of the DC, New District Hq. Peren on May 05, 2020 at 10:00 am.

It will be followed by a consultative meeting at 12:00 noon with various Civil Societies/Church Organisations of Peren District at the above mentioned venue.

3. MDTF on covid- 19 launched face mask distribution

Launching programme of Face Mask Distribution by Mokokchung District Task Force on COVID- 19 was held today May 04, 2020 at the Community hall, Khensa village.

Speaking at the launching programme, Deputy Commissioner & convenor District Task Force on COVID- 19, Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, said the citizen funded project to stitch two lakh washable masks is to ensure that every single person in the district has a mask to wear so that compulsory wearing of face mask would help contain the spread of the COVID- 19 Pandemic should the situation arise.

4. Jalukie battalion reaches out to residents of tening

Expressing solidarity with residents of Tening village, Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) facilitated them with 200 improvised face masks and essential commodities on May 03, 2020.

5. Mock drill conducted at district hospital Dimapur

Mock drill simulating treatment and subsequent death of COVID patient in the ward and the protocols to be followed in such scenario was conducted at District Hospital Dimapur on May 04, 2020. During the mockdrill, the doctors nurses and health workers strictly followed the guidelines for PPE Donning serially (hand hygiene, shoes, hairnet, gloves, gown, mask, Google, cap gloves) and Doffing.

Doctors from Dimapur District Hospital informed that that are 4 teams divided into A,B, C and D with a team leader for each group. Mock drills and PPE Donning and Doffing practice are conducted daily team wise, as per COVID duty rooster, doctors informed.

6. Sub-divisional Covid-19 task force held a brief meeting at district hospital Peren on may 04, 2020

7. Mock drill held at Longleng

Medical department Longleng under Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Nagaland conducted a “Mock Drill “at district headquarter Longleng in collaboration with District administration, Police, Fire and emergency services on May 04, 2020, to review an emergency preparedness of the department and to evaluate standard operating procedure of the prevailing COVID-19 situation within the district.

8. DC Mon informs on uploading of weekly assignments for schools

Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K IAS has informed that in view of the imposition of National Lockdown and closure of Schools, the District Administration, Mon with due concern for the academic session of Secondary School Students will be uploading videos with weekly assignments for the Secondary Students in its YouTube channel (Deputy Commissioner Mon) from May 04, 2020 onwards. It is recommended that the students submit the assignment report upon resumption of their Academic Session to their respective Schools.
