Kohima, May 02 (NE): News bulletin from various sources and press releases by NagalandExpress on May 02, 2020 are as follows:

1. Briefing on COVID-19 on May 02, 2020 for Nagaland

A total of 674 samples have been sent for testing from the State till date, and results of 661 samples have been received and all have been tested negative. The results for the remaining 13 samples are awaited. Today, a total of 1397 persons have been screened and a total of 21 persons are under Facility Quarantine.

2. Chief Secretary notifies on lockdown guidelines

The Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Temjen Toy, IAS has issued an ordered that all the existing guidelines with regard to the Lockdown in all parts of the State issued vide Order of even number dated 20.04.2020, will continue to remain operative till the issuance of fresh guidelines.

3. DC Kohima issues order on lockdown

The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS issued an order stating that all the existing guidelines with regard to lockdown in Kohima District as notified earlier will continue to remain operative till further Order. The directives are issued for strict compliance of all concerned.

4. ADC Peren issues order on import & sale of pigs

In compliance with the order of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren the ADC Peren, Moa Sangtam, in a circular has informed to all concerned that import and sale of pig & pork is totally banned in Peren Town and Peren Sadar with immediate effect till further order.

5. DC Tuensang notifies on import of pigs

In pursuance to notification received from the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Government of Nagaland and in view of the reported outbreak of “African Swine Fever” and high mortality of pigs in the neighbouring States, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has informed to all concerned that the import of pigs from outside the state is banned under Tuensang district jurisdiction with immediate effect.
