1. Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs department staffs donates one-day salary to CMRF

Minister of Higher & Technical Education & Tribal Affairs, GoN, Temjen Imna Along handed over one day salary contribution from the staffs of Higher Education, Technical Education & Tribal Affairs dept amounting to ₹26,54,896/- towards CMRF.

CM Rio expresses gratitude to the staffs for selflessly contributing towards the CMRF, said a notification from Rio, today, March 28, 2020.

2. Number of Coronavirus cases rise to 819 in India

The Number of coronavirus cases rose to 819 in India as on Saturday, March 28, 2020, 05:45 pm. Out of the total cases, 79 patients have been cured and discharged. Death toll rises to 19, says ICMR.

3. Food Bank at Dimapur

5. IHRC, Nagaland chapter donates to combat Covid-19

The Indian Human Rights Commission IHRC for the State of Nagaland with its Chairman, Shri S.Richard Humtsoe, Secretary General, Shri Y Yanthan and Member, Shri Teiso Peinyu on March Twenty Seven donated a sum of Rs, 100000/- (one Lac), only to the Dimapur District Administration through the Additional Deputy Commissioner, ADC Dimapur, Smti V. Lovitoly Sema as a contribution in combating Covid-19 for the welfare of the Nagas, said a press release.

6. Jain Samaj Continues Food Distribution During Lockdown

Corona Virus may have created havoc with the need to take special measures of social distancing & national lockdown. It has not dittered the volunteers of Jain Samaj in Dimapur to positively impact the society by shouldering their social responsibility.

Four hundred food packets, fruits & water were distributed to police personnels, doctors & nurses, volunteers besides the desolate people surrounding Marwari Patti for the fourth day, under the Chairmanship of Shri Kailash Jhanjhri.

Responding to the needy times, President Om Prakash Sethi announced that Dimapur Jain Samaj will keep serving the society daily in general, pro-actively during the whole period of lockdown. Samaj stands by the administration for any needs and to implement the regulations too in every way, said a press release today.

7. CHS and CHYN conduct sanitization programme at Chumukedima town

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, a small initiative of sanitization programme was conducted on March Twenty Seven by Chumukedima Hindu Society in coordination with Chumukedima Hindu Yuva Nagaland under the supervision of Shri Thejavizo Nakhro, Extra Assistant Commissioner cum Administrator of Chumukedima Town Council and his staff covering mostly the public places from the 2nd Gate Junction to the 7th mile, Jame Masjid, Chumukedima Police Station and its surroundings and on the public request some of their houses were also covered up. The programme was well carried by a team of 10 members properly equipped with masks, gloves and others.

It stated in a press release today, March Twenty Eight as said “This is a small step towards the cause of humanity for maintaining hygienic conditions in protecting and preventing the risk of getting infection from the virus. Hence, that was the first phase of sanitization and CHS would come up more with such relevant actions as situation demands.” – unquote.

The team was led by Shri Kishan Sharma, President and Shri Pintu M Ghosh, Working President of Chumukedima Hindu Society, Chumukedima: Dimapur.

8. DCCI disinfects Dimapur

Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, President, Shri Akashe K Zhimomi along with his team took the initiative to disinfect the Dimapur city along with Dimapur Police on March Twenty Six. This was revealed in a short press release.
