2. Number of Coronavirus cases rise to 633 in India
The Number of coronavirus cases rise to 633 in India as on Thursday, March 26, 2020, 08:00 pm. Out of the total cases, 44 patients have been cured and discharged. Death toll rises to sixteen, says ICMR.
3. Drones to relay Dos and Don’ts in Kohima
The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department and Nagaland Geographical Information System (NGIS) in its effort to spread awareness on Covid 19, will be utilising Drones to relay Dos and Don’ts.
This effort is a first of its kind in the State and the awareness messages will be carried out on the 26th March evening 2020 in the following colonies (Take off locations): Indoor stadium, Cathedral, Oking hospital, School Education Department, SCERT and Industries Office.
4. DC Dimapur requests public to stay at home
Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Anoop Kinchi IAS, has informed the general public of Dimapur that locked down wef from 25th March till 12th April 2020 is a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19. He therefore, requested the public to mandatorily stay at home and to avoid all manner of public gatherings including family outings, picnics and other leisure activities. AnoopKinchi warned that violators would be punished asper Section 188 of Indian Penal Code.
5. DC Kohima orders grocery and bakeries to open from 10:00 am 2:00 pm
In the interest of the public and as a precautionary measure to encourage “Social Distancing” due to Covid-19 pandemic crisis, the Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS has ordered all Grocery Shops and Bakeries within Kohima Municipal Area to open for the general public from 10:A.M to 2:00 P.M only. Further, the public have been notified to visit only the nearest Grocery Shops and Bakeries within their respective colonies/wards so as to ensure public safety. The order will come into force with immediate effect.
