1. Number of Coronavirus cases rise to 223 in India

The Number of coronavirus cases rise to 223 in India as on Friday, March 20, 2020, which includes, 191 Indians and 32 foreign nationals. Out of the total cases, 23 patients have been cured and discharged. Briefing media in New Delhi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Lav Aggarwal informed.

2. No leaves for State medical staffs till the Coronavirus situation contains

Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom reviewed preparation of the Department with Principal Director, Health &Family Welfare Dr. Vizolie Z Suokhrie, on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

Minister have directed to ensure that no medical staffs be granted leave and call back all staffs who are on leave till the situation is contained.

3. Visitors entry barred in PHQ office, Kohima with immediate effect

As precautionary measures, also in pursuance to Home Department order dated March, 19, 2020, in order to prevent and contain the spread of CoronaVirus (COVID-19), the entry of the visitors in PHQ office, Kohima, except the official and staff is barred with immediate effect till further orders.

4. DC Kohima directs sanitization of all the ATM booths & to keep Hand sanitizers at the ATM booths

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS informed that the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) outbreak as pandemic and henceforth all banks located under Kohima District are directed to sanitize all the ATM booths and bank counters with medical recommended sanitizers on a regular basis to prevent and control the outbreak. Hand sanitizers should also be kept for customers at the ATM booths, it added. This Directive comes into force with immediate effect till further orders, said a report from DIPR on Friday, March 20, 2020.
