1. Alumni of Sao Chang College, Tuensang informs

It is hereby informed to all the alumni of Sao Chang College Tuensang that the NAAC peer team will be visiting the College on March 11, 2020 led by the Vice Chancellor to assist the college and they will be having a meeting with the Alumni association.
In this connection, a notification received on March Six said that all the Alumni members are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

They will take stock of everything starting from Alumni’s association to infrastructure and college administration, etc, as per the guidelines of the UGC. If the visiting team is satisfied or the college fulfilled their criteria than only the college will be saved for the younger generation. And the notification added: “so let us sacrifice our time today for our next generation”. – unquote.

2. Directorate of Technical Education, GoN informs

The Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland, Government of Nagaland (GoN) will conduct a launching program of Statewide Interactive Smart Board for Smart Classroom and One Day Seminar organized by AICTE, New Delhi on Higher Education, Reforms & Initiative, New Schemes for North-eastern Region, on March Ten at Government Polytechnic, Kohima. This was stated in a notification on March Seven.

3. Department of Higher & Technical Education, GoN informs

In view of emerging global scenario regarding COVID-19 and in the interest of public health & safety, all Government establishments including private educational institutions are directed to provide hand sanitizer solution in all biometric device stations for hand sensitization before & after use of such devices with immediate effect.

This was stated in a notification by Department of Higher & Technical Education, GoN through the Chief Secretary, on March Seven.

4. Public leaders complaints on poor quality of ensuing work in the ongoing repairing of roads at Dimapur

Many colony bodies have complaint against poor quality of work and has written to Executive Engineer, Department of Roads & Bridges, Government of Nagaland and expressed their dissatisfaction in the ongoing repairing of roads at Lhomithi Colony, Dimapur, tri-junction to Kashiram via Signal Angami village on March Seven.

5. DC Dimapur informs

Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, (DC), Shri Anoop Kinchi, IAS on March Six has cautioned that stern action would be taken against those selling masks and hand sanitizers at exorbitant prices.

The DC has come to the knowledge of district administration that these products are being sold in the local markets at exorbitant prices. Following the spread of corona virus, many people have started wearing face mask as a preventive measure, said DIPR notification.

6. Tuensang DPDB monthly meeting held at DC Conference Hall, Tuensang

Tuensang DPDB monthly meeting for the month of March was held on March Seven, today in DC Conference Hall, Tuensang.

In a notification received on March Seven by NagalandExpress, said that the various agendas discussed during the meeting were preparedness for COVID-19, Poshan Pakhwada, etc. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) and IEC materials were also distributed among members.
