1. 2nd Badminton Tournament of NCSA held

The second Badminton Tournament of Nagaland Civil Service Association which was held at Badminton Stadium Kohima, concluded yesterday, March Four. Altogether, 46 officers took part in the tournament which started on Tuesday. The overall champion was bagged by the officers posted at the Secretariat and Directorates while the men’s double was won by Chingmak and Sizin Rentah. Mixed doubles was won by W. Honje Konyak and Vikhweno.

2) 18th Annual Games & Sports of Blue Star School, Dimapur held on March 5

18th Annual Games & Sports 2020, organized by Blue Star School, Singrijan at Singrijan Local Ground Dimapur on March Five with Shri Bishnu Bhatacharjee special guest. Various sports and games were played amongst the school children.

5) Assam Rifles apprehends NSCN (IM) Cadre in Jalukie, Nagaland

Troops of Assam Rifles in an operation apprehended an NSCN (IM) cadre with extortion slips and other indiscriminating items from Jalukie Town, Peren district of Nagaland on March 03, 2020. The apprehended cadre and the recovered items have been handed over to police for further investigation, said a social media notification by Eastern Command IA on March 05, 2020.

6. 1 non-local dead at a hit-&-run case at Dimapur

On March Four, one non-local male succumbed to injury in a suspected hit and run case by an unidentified vehicle at Purana Bazar, Dimapur. The dead body was shifted to District Civil Hospital morgue for P.M examination and identification. In a press release by Dimapur Police on March Five said that claimant / relatives / friends of the deceased are hereby requested to contact Officer-in-Charge, East Police Station, Dimapur.
