1. RTI Officials appointed for NPSC

Nagaland Public Service Commission in a notification on March Three informed that the Commission has appointed the following officers as Appellate Authority, Public Information Officer & Assistant Public Information Officer in the Nagaland Public Service Commission with immediate effect:

(i) Appellate Authority (AA)
Kevekha Kevin Zehol, NCS
Secretary, Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima, Nagaland.

(ii) Public Information Officer (PIO)
Kelhouseto Nakhro, Deputy Secretary,
Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima, Nagaland.

(iii) Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO)
C.Yimtsu Lotha, Under Secretary,
Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima, Nagaland.

2. Social work held at SJU, Dimapur

A social work was organised by the NSS Club members (24 students) of St.Joseph University, Dimapur on March Three with Two co-ordinators – Sir Monjit Roy (Commerce Dept.) and Miss Jandeno Ezung (Sociology Dept.).
A press release by SJU, Dimapur on March Three said that the social work was conducted at the University campus and outside the main University gate near the fencing area. The objective of this social work was to keep the University campus clean and hygiene.

3. Kids friendly disaster drill conducted at Dimapur

Social Empowerment Organisation in Collaboration with NSDMA & DDMA Dimapur conducted a one day Kids friendly disaster drill better known as Mithun Caravan at DDSC stadium, Dimapur on March 3, 2020. ADC & CEO, DDMA Dimapur graced the occasion who addressed the children of class 3 & 4 from various schools. Prize distribution was done by DPA Dimapur.

The participating schools include:

1. Cornerstone Higher secondary School
2. Vivekananda Blooming Buds School.
3. Christian Higher Secondary school
4. Mary’s Higher Secondary School
5. New Horizon School
6. Community Education Centre School
7. Holy Cross Higher Secondary School
8. Bethesda Higher Secondary School
9. Zakiesato Memorial Higher Secondary School.

4. BJP Nagaland held it’s first meeting with new state office bearers

The BJP Nagaland had their first newly inducted state office bearers (2020-2023) meeting at the party head office, on March Three. The meeting was presided over by State BJP President Shri.Temjen Imna Along Longkumer who welcomed the new team members.

A notification by BJP, Nagaland said that he briefed on party issues pertaining to organizational matters. Also, the new district in charges were selected and assigned their respective roles.

5. 4th edition of Acclamation Night by M-Table to be held at Dimapur

M-Table will be Hosting the 4th edition of Acclamation Night on March Twenty One, at Sky Garden, 7th Mile, Chumukedima, Dimapur, with Minister of Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Nagaland, Shri Neiba Kronu as Guest of Honour and exhortation to be delivered by Advisor TaFMA, Government of Nagaland, Shri Theja Meru.

A press release by M-Table said that, the program aims to recognise and felicitate pioneers from the music industry of Nagaland. (Recognition towards contribution to Music Industry, towards contribution to Music Education, towards contribution to National patriotic song and Lifetime Achievement).

6. Inter-School Sports Meet Cum Mega Rally under BBBP at Jalukie

Inter- School sports meet cum mega rally was held at Jalukie on March 4, 2020 in support of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao with Additional Deputy Commissioner Jalukie, Dr. Tinojungshi Chang flagging off the rally. The rally was held from Jalukie Town traffic point till Govt. Hr. Secondary School ground. More than 800 students from three Govt. sector Schools took part in the rally.
The ADC led in taking the pledge and students from three schools participated in activities including friendly football match, running race, high jump and musical chairs, etc.

7. Weekly market shed inaugurated at Pungro

The weekly market was inaugurated at Pungro on March 4, 2020 by Rumphio Odyuo, retired SDO Power Department Pungro. Recognising that the district lacks a market to converge the buyer and seller, the district administration is organizing weekly market starting from March 4, 2020 which will be held every Wednesday at Pungro town to provide the necessary convergence to the farmers and craftsmen.
