Shri Rupin Sharma, IPS (Nagaland Cadre) Director General of Police (DGP) Border Affairs, Govt. of Nagaland, a recipient of Netaji Subash Chandra Boss, Bravery Award had addressed the congregation at Sangtam Baptist Church, Kiphire on Sunday devotional Service of February Sixteen.
In a late notification received here on March One, it said that he had stressed on the importance of humanity and the needs to adopt modernity and change with universal values. He also spoke with special emphasis on the duty and role of it’s Citizens to cooperate with the Armed Police Forces and discipline Christian life.
2. Smti Akhale Vizol retires as Director from Tourism Department, Government of Nagaland on February 29, 2020
The Nagaland Tourism Department organized a farewell program for the Director of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, (GoN), Smti. Akhale Vizol on February Twenty Nine at the Directorate Conference Hall, Kohima.
A notification by Advisor, Department of Tourism and Art & Culture, GoN, Shri H Khehovi on March Two, said, “Smti. Akhale have been a sincere and hardworking lady who dedicated her work life in the service of the Department. I wish her a happy retirement.” – unquote.
3. Department of Civil Engineering (UG) – B.Tech, SJU, Dimapur organizes awareness program
The Department of Civil Engineering and Bio Technology, St Joseph University, SJU, Dimapur organized an Awareness program in collaboration with the Institute of Engineers India on March Second where Shri D.A.Shishak, Chairman and Er. Imtiwati Jamir, IEI-Nagaland State Centre were the Chief Guests.

4. DC Kohima informs on additional acquisition of land
The Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Shri Gregory Thejawelie has informed that land measuring 7.50 acres is required at Chiechama, Kohima district, for additional acquisition for setting up of Regional Response Centre for Regional Emergency Management Training Centre under Fire and Emergency Services, Nagaland, Government of Nagaland. The DC Kohima has notified that if any person or party have any claim, objection over the said area, the same may be submitted to the Office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima till the 27th of this month.
5. 50th year of formation of the Nagaland Wrestling Association
The 27th senior and 1st under 16 years Naga wrestling tournament will be held at Kohima Local Ground Khouchiezie on 10th & 11th of this month. This edition also marks the 50th year of formation of the Nagaland Wrestling Association, NWA- the organizers of the tournament. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will grace the inaugural ceremony as the special guest while MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu will be the inaugural guest.
6. Quarterly meeting for International Women’s Day held on February 28 at DC office, Tuensang
Quarterly meeting of District Task Force, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was held at DC office, Tuensang on February Twenty Eight.
In a notification, it said that the members deliberated on various BBBP activities to be conducted across the district in the coming days with special focus in celebrating of International Women’s Day on March Eight.
