1 – Demolition Drive at Pfutsero

The Pfutsero administration along with Pfutsero town council demolished certain portions of buildings and structures along the Pfutsero to Phek 2 lane road which is being constructed under SARDP-NE on February 25, 2020.

The demolition drive was done under the supervision of Thungbemo Patton, SDO Civil Pfutsero. SDPO Pfutsero and Pfutsero Town Council members were also present.

2 – Education Department of St. John College, Dimapur undertakes educational tour at CIHSR

Education Department of St. John College, Dimapur on February Twenty Two enjoyed a field trip to CIHSR College of Nursing, Dimapur as they tried to understand first hand the key differences between vocational and traditional academic learning styles.

It was stated in a notification by St. John College, Dimapur on February Twenty Four.

3 – Putul Parampara – an Indian Puppetry Festival underway at Kohima

Putul Parampara: Indian Puppetry Festival is currently underway from today, February 25 at Kohima and will go on till February 29, 2020. Advisor, Department of Tourism and Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland, Shri H Khehovi was the Guest of Honor.

He also inaugurated the event by lightning the Lamps. He said that the program is a wonderful initiative, which will enable the people to learn more about different cultures, and to promote & also preserve it. The event has been organized by the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Nagaland, Kohima at State Academy Hall, Kohima, Nagaland.

It is said that the event has been organized for the first time in Nagaland where various Puppet Theatres from across the country will showcase their art.

4 – Mokokchung Police conducts various programs for Raising Day celebration

Mokokchung Police on account of Raising Day celebration of DEF, Mokokchung conducted the following programs:

A) Mokokchung Police conducted Seminar on Road Traffic Awareness on February Twenty Two on account of Raising Day Celebration of the DEF Mokokchung.

B) Mokokchung Police conducted free Health Camp at New Reserve, Mokokchung on February Twenty Four on account of Raising Day Celebration 2020.

C) Mini Marathon Race organized by Mokokchung Police on February Twenty Four as part of Raising Day Celebration of DEF Mokokchung.

D) Various initiatives were also held to mark the occasions of it’s Raising Day celebration at Mokokchung.

5 – DNSU starts first phase Hostel verification and issue of NOC

Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) started its first phase of Hostel Verification and issue of No Objection Certificate (NOC).

This initiative has been incorporated to make sure that hostels run with proper authorisation from the concerned department, adequate facilities, hygienic food and other being provided to the students. Defaulters will be reported to the concerned department and District administration for necessary action upto the extend of shutting down the Hostel, said a social media notification on February 25, 2020.

6 – Nagaland may get moderate rains in different places from February 25-27: Skynet reports

Between February 25 and February 27, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya will observe moderate rain in many places.

In a notification by Skynet weather forecast on February Twenty Three, during the same episode of this rainy spell, heavy rain is also expected to be observed in a few places. Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may also see rain at the same time. However, the intensity of the rains will be light over these places. All these rains will be very beneficial for crops like coconut, paddy, mustard, and others.
