NDPP lauds 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly for passing the 7 point resolution on the Naga Political Issue.

Kohima, February 21 (NEx): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) appreciated and congratulated the members of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly for having unanimously passed the 7 point resolution on the Naga Political Issue urging all Naga National groups to come together as one to bring about “one solution for one people”, stated party communique.

The NDPP while mentioning that this speaks volumes on the commitment of our people’s representatives who have risen above party politics in the greater interest of the people, appealed to all Members of the NLA to continue to stand united in pursuing for an early settlement to the Naga political issue and at the same time, ensuring that the resolution passed in the recently concluded session is taken up in letter and spirit.

The party also lauded and congratulated the Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Finance and the PDA government for having successfully passed a visionary and path breaking State budget 2021-22 on February 19, 2021.

“The special impetus on infrastructure development, innovation and creativity and focus on youth empowerment is commendable and needs to be appreciated by all sections. The budget indicates that the government is constantly strategizing on new ideas and policies to usher in a new era of economic growth and employment generation”, the NDPP said.

The NDPP expressed confidence that the PDA government under the leadership of the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will continue to deliver to the people justice, development and good governance despite the financial constraints the state is going through.

Meanwhile, the NDPP also congratulated the Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Mr. Sharingain Longkumer for having successfully concluded the 7th Session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on February 19, 2021.

“Though a first time member to the NLA and also young in age, his command of the House and his conduct of the session has been second to none. The Hon’ble Speaker needs to be appreciated on ensuring the smooth proceedings inside the House and his unbiasedness in dealing with members of both benches of the House”, the communique stated.

Further, the party wished him the very best in the future conduct of the remaining sessions of the 13th NLA.
