NBSE Notifies On HSSLC & HSLC Examinations 2021

Kohima, April 01 (NEx): The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2021 is set to commence from April 6th, 2021 till April 29th, 2021 and High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2021 will start from April 7th, 2021 till April 21st, 2021.

For HSSLC Examination, a total of 16,835 candidates are enrolled (Arts – 13024, Commerce – 1347 and Science – 2464) and will be appearing from 96 provisional examination centres. Out of 16,835 candidates, 8194 are boys and 8641 are girls, the Nagaland Board of School Education informed.

The Class XI Promotion Examination 2021 concluded on March 31st, 2021 where a total of 17,343 candidates appeared the examination.

Meanwhile, the NBSE informed that 23,612 candidates will be appearing the HSLC Examination 2021 from 133 provisional examination centres and 4 sub-centres and 742 candidates will appear the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2021 from 41 examination centres.

On March 17th, 2021, the Board had an online meeting with the Centre Superintendents to discuss their duties and responsibilities and were also briefed about the preventive measures/SOPs to be followed during the conduct of the examination to contain the spread of COVID-19. It also delivered materials to the examination centres to disinfect the rooms, washrooms, halls etc.

The board also informed that candidates are allowed to bring only the materials permitted in the examination hall such as pen, pencil, scale, eraser, sharpener and geometry instruments. They are also permitted to bring a pocket hand sanitizer, mask and a transparent water bottle. It reminded students to refrain from any kind of mal-practices during examinations and asked them to reach the examination centre in time.

The Board appealed all the candidates to wear masks, observe social distancing norms, avoid contact with unknown persons etc., to protect themselves and also appealed the parents and guardians to guide their ward on the important guidelines/SOPs and to follow it.
