Nagaland Board of School Education, (NBSE) notifies about Direct Benefit Transfer via post office account

Kohima, September 07 (NEx): The Nagaland Board of School Education in a notification on September 07, 2020, in pursuant to the notification from Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Scholarship Division, issued on July 31, 2020, informed the beneficiary students about the post office account for the purpose of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships (CSSS).

Beneficiary students may open an account as an option in the post office or use the existing post office account for the purpose of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships (CSSS), it notified.

Notification issued by NBSE, Chairperson, Mrs Asano Sekhose, stated that the Post offices are providing banking and insurance services, the banking services maybe useful for the beneficiaries of such scheme as the post offices have some popular small savings schemes like Post Office Savings Bank Account (POSB) and Public Provident Fund Scheme (PPF).

In this regard, the board requested all heads of institutions to disseminate the information to the concern students.
