Kohima, March 10 (NEx): Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) informed all the registered schools that the Government of India is celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence – “Azad ka Amrut Mahatsov”. The celebration will commence on Friday, 75 weeks prior to the Independence Day 2022 and will extend upto Independence Day 2023.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi will launch the celebration from Gujarat, which will be a 25 days event starting on March 12th, 2021 (anniversary of the launch of Dandi March) and will conclude on April 5th, 2021 (conclusion of Dandi March).
Coinciding with the inauguration,the NBSE informed that the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India planned a number of events and requested schools in Nagaland to participate in the following two events:
1. On March 12th, 2021 – 1 (one) hour conference/talk/seminar with students participation as speakers and presenters on ‘A talk on India’s freedom struggle’.
Schools are requested to post the video clips of the event on the social media platforms of the school by tagging the following:
2. From March 12, 2021 to April 12, 2021- Essay writing or Creative writing on any one of the following by the students:
i. Mahatma Gandhiji’s contribution to India’s freedom movement.
ii. The role of Indian National Congress in the freedom movement.
iii. The journey of progress since India got independence.
iv. Despite being so diverse, India has managed to stay united.
v. Challenges faced by India on attaining independence in 1947.
NBSE further requested the schools to organise the above two events for the students. By participating in these two events, students will get an idea about the challenges faced by the freedom fighters and the sacrifices made by them, it said.
For those participating in the Essay writing or Creative writing, the NBSE shall give Certificates to the best entries. From amongst the participants, every school must select the best entry and send it to email@example.com, on or before April 12th, 2021, so that the Board can display it in the Board’s website, NBSE informed.
