NBSE imposes ban on single use plastics on all the schools

Nagaland Board of School Education, (NBSE) keeping the interest of the students under focus as well as to begin creating a better environment, has directed all the schools to take necessary action to impose ban on the use of plastics, as per a notification released by the NBSE chairperson, Asano Sekhose.

According to the Nagaland gazette dated Monday,17th June ,2019, the government has imposed a total ban on all single use plastics in Nagaland with a view to eradicate the menace of plastic and the various environmental and ecological challenges posed by the rampant use of plastics.

Also, the institutions registered under NBSE are to take appropriate measures to prohibit on sale of junk food in and around the campus and to ban hoardings advertising tobacco products and sale of any tobacco products to a person below the age of 18 years, and no sale of tobacco products in an area within a radius of 100 yards of any educational institution.
