National Girl Child Day celebrated at ARPS Jalukie

Peren, January 25 (NEx): Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) is celebrating the National Girl Child Day at Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Jalukie from January 21st to 26th, 2021.

The PRO HQ IGAR (North) in a press release informed that the aim of the event is to nurture the capabilities of girls and their importance in family and society.

Standing firm on Beti Bachao and Beti Padao, an interactive session was conducted by Assam Rifles Medical Officer on Nutrition and Healthcare with growing age covering various aspects of hygiene and sanitation. A demonstration on self defence was also conducted wherein girls were taught to protect themselves from physical abuses and fight against crime towards women, PRO informed.

The school authorities and parents extended their regards and appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles for standing firm to the credo of “Friends of the Hill People”.
