National Crime Record Bureau 2018 shows Nagaland among the least on crime against children and women

Dimapur, January 10 (NE): The National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) on Thursday, January 9, 2020 released Crime data for 2018 in India.

The highest number of incidents of crimes against children was reported in Uttar Pradesh, 19,936 for the year 2018; while the state with the least number of such cases was Nagaland at 70 – this was stated in NCRB 2018 report through Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

In the ‘crime against women’ NCRB 2018 data, Andhra Pradesh reported highest number of incidents, 16438 for the year 2018 and Nagaland reported 75 incident.

According to a media report, NCRB 2018 was decoded to understand the various crimes relating to children and women among others. The report did not mention much about Nagaland as a whole due to a fact that it might not be a high risk zone as compared to bigger states of India.

Nagaland including the North East states in India has better records; but the is fact that any crimes must be balanced such that the concern states will understand the actuality in today’s scenario, few citizens of Nagaland observed.
