Kohima, February 13 (NEx): Nagaland’s 16-year old cricketer, Khrievitso Kense has been shortlisted among the 292 players for Vivo Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Auction on Thursday.
The IPL informed that 1,114 players had registered for the auction initially and the eight franchises submitted their shortlisted players and the final list consists of 292 players, out of which 164 are Indian, 125 overseas and 3 players from Associated nations.
16 year old, Khrievitso Kense from Nagaland is one among the 292 players shortlisted for VIVO IPL 2021 player auction. According to IPL shortlist, Right arm leg spinner and batsman, Kense is set for auction at a base price of Rs 20 lacs.
Out of 292 players, who will be up for grabs in the VIVO IPL 2021 Player Auction, a maximum of 61 players will be picked up by different franchises during the auction, which is scheduled to take place at Chennai on February 18, 2021.

Ahead of the IPL auction, last month, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals had called Kense for trials. Kense underwent 5 days trial with Mumbai Indians at Mumbai Reliance Cricket Ground and two days trail with Rajasthan Royals in Nagpur.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended best wishes to Khrievitso Kense. Taking to twitter, CM Rio said, Kense is the youngest Indian player to be shortlisted for IPL 2021 Auction. ‘I hope he gets picked by a great franchisee that will perform excellently in the IPL 2021’ – tweets CM Rio.
