Nagaland Voluntary Women Association Contributes towards needy patients

Kohima, June 09 (NEx): Nagaland Voluntary Women Association led by its President, Kaisa Rio, wife of Chief Minister of Nagaland donated cash relief fund of Rs 50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only) to each of the 12 (twelve) districts of Nagaland through the respective Medical Superintendents and Community Health Centres.

The Principal Director, Dr. Neikhrielie Khimiao, Mission Director, Directors (Health & Family Welfare, Dental & Medical Education), officials and Staffs of the Department of Health & Family Welfare acknowledged and appreciated the generous gestures and assistance, a press release said.

The assistance is extended for the patients who are not able to afford and meet their medical and food expenses during the pandemic. Nagaland Voluntary Women Association have always endeavoured to reach out to the needy sections of the society and carry out humanitarian work whenever and wherever possible which is very notable, the department stated.

It also said that the contribution in cash and kind is invaluable for the beneficiaries who will be benefitted immensely and conveyed good wishes to the Association in all their endeavours for good health and much success forward.
