Kohima, July 24 (NEx): Nagaland University withdraws the examination routine published on July 16, 2020, a notification by the university said on Thursday.
Dr. Maongsangba, Controller of Examinations, Nagaland University notified that, in accordance with the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Nagaland letter dated July 21, 2020, Nagaland University Examination Tentative Routine dated July 16, 2020 will be revised / scheduled after receiving the concurrence of the State Government to conduct the examination for 2019-2020.
The revised examination schedule will be notified in advance when the situation becomes favorable, informed Dr. Maongsangba.
The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on July 20, 2020 appealed the State Government to request the University Grants Commission and Ministry of Human Resource Development to consider the case of Nagaland and allow the Nagaland University to take relevant decision in the interest of the students’ community.
The Union also appealed Nagaland University to immediately withdraw the exam routines for all courses published on July 16th, 2020.
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Nagaland Unit, is also scheduled to launch the first phase of online campaign on July 26, 2020 to draw the attention of the State Government against conducting any form of exams during the pandemic.
