Nagaland to bring back stranded citizens from across India. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said government implementing a detailed plan

Kohima, May 08 (NE): Nagaland government to open online registration for the citizens of Nagaland stranded in other states in India. Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio on Thursday said, government is implementing a detailed plan to bring back stranded citizens from across India.

Taking to twitter on May 08, 2020, CM Rio said, ‘State Government is implementing a detailed plan to take stranded citizens back to their respective districts within Nagaland and to bring back stranded citizens from across India.’

Nagaland Govt will pay for the arrangements it makes for the journeys within the state and from outside, added CM Rio.

An online returnee declaration form will be available in Nagaland government’s official website for the stranded citizens of Nagaland, https://iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in from Friday, May 08, 2020, 12 noon onwards.

Citizens stranded in different states in India who wants to return to Nagaland through government arrangements can submit their details online. Timeline for the application will be limited, it added.

Further, the citizens who wants to travel back in their own arrangements can also register to travel inter-State by road, (only for entry to Nagaland). An E-Pass will be issued on their mobile phone to travel by road.

Returned citizens will have to undergo mandatory quarantine in government quarantine centre for 21 days, informed the government.

The nCOVID19 Nagaland and Aarogya Setu mobile app had been made mandatory for all the returnees.

Further, returnee shall not be allowed to leave Nagaland for any reason until the lockdown is completely lifted.
