Kohima, February 01 (NEx): On the backdrop of poor telecom services in the State, the Minister for PHED, Jacob Zhimomi on Monday urged the telecom service providers to take appropriate steps to provide quality services to the people of Nagaland.
Taking to twitter, Zhimomi said that the ‘Telecom services in Nagaland is not providing quality service to our people and the state.’
‘If such is the case, state cabinet may take a decision soon in the matter. Therefore, appropriate measures may be taken by the service providers at the earliest,’- Zhimomi tweeted.

It is pertinent to note that various organizations including students bodies from various districts in Nagaland have been giving warning to the telecom service providers for quality service, some even to the extent of shutting down the offices.
Netizens have welcomed the statement issued by the PHED Minister, Jacob Zhimomi in regards to the poor telecom services in the State. ‘This has been a long pending demand especially during this unprecedented COVID-19 situation, when classes including the exams are conducted online and the hardships faced by the students due to poor network connectivity,’ commented a social media user.
‘We pay the same amount to the telecom companies to use their services like anyone in the metropolitan cities, but when it come to services, we are far from quality services,’ commented a netizen.
