Dimapur, January 14 (NE): Nagaland schools began from second week of January, 2020, all over the state.
The students are seen in their school uniforms; information from various parts of Nagaland also came in where the classes has started for higher class students through coaching particularly mathematics among other subjects for the exam to be held next month, in both Government and private schools.
It is being learnt that thousands of students are preparing to appear matric and higher secondary exams, of which, the official notification of examination routines have been published last year by Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE).
It is interesting to note that, Nagaland has separate board exams like International curriculum instituted by Livingstone School, which was once under Nagaland School educational system, apart from CBSE and NBSE.
In a notification by Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), Government of Nagaland has said that the months of January – February will be admission time; Schools under the Dimapur area, will also begin classes, which are affiliated to the Government and also recognized private schools.
Also, there will be compartmental exam after few months, as stated in the Government notification for the year.
There will be increase of students in every section of classes, which will go up as the Montessori schooling system are also gaining popularity here at Nagaland lately. Many new schools will also be seen from this academic year.
Even the higher secondary classes will see lots of students which only shows that as far as education is concerned, Nagaland is growing, but the question is, how many schools will really give vocational opportunities to their students as well.
