Kohima, September 04 (NEx): Nagaland reported 41 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 04, 2020 taking the total tally to 4107. Active cases stands at 736.
Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated that 41 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 950 samples results received today. Among the new cases detected, 23 cases are in Dimapur, 17 in Kohima and 1 in Phek. Also, there has been a report of 37 patients who recovered from COVID-19, informed Pangnyu.
The medical team are in action to implement all precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, he added.
Out of 950 samples tested, 41 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported.
23 in Dimapur, 17 in Kohima & 1 in Phek.
And also 37 patients of COVID-19 has been recovered.

The State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, H&FW issued segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported in Nagaland on September 04, 2020. Out of the new 41 cases reported, 14 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 11 returnees, 11 traced contacts and 05 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
With 14 new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 4107 today. Out of this, 1740 postive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 43% of the total tally. Meanwhile, 302 frontline workers in Nagaland also tested COVID positive while fighting against the pandemic. As per the severity of symptoms, 730 active cases are asymptomatic and 06 active cases are mild. Also, a total of 948 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
Meanwhile, the report also informed of 37 recoveries among the COVID- positive patients, 08 patients are from Dimapur, 25 from Kohima, 1 from Wokha & 3 from Zunheboto. Total recovery tally stands at 3351.
So far, the State has reported eight (8) deaths due to COVID-19. Two (2) deaths of COVID-19 patient are not due to COVID-19 and five (5) death cases in Dimapur are under investigation, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
