Kohima, December 17 (NEx): Nagaland COVID recovery tally crossed 11,000 mark with 76 new recoveries from COVID-19 today, December 17, 2020 taking the total count to 11,071 and recovery rate at 93%.
Out of the total recoveries from COVID-19 today, 64 patients recovered from Kohima, 06 from Tuensang, 04 from Wokha and 02 patients from Zunheboto, updated the Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
The state also reported 33 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total count in the state to 11,820, updated the Health Minister today. Among the new cases detected, 13 cases each were detected in Kohima & Mokokchung, 06 in Tuensang and 01 in Mon, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 547.
33 +ve cases of # COVID-19 have detected today.
Kohima- Mokokchung- 13 each, Tuensang- 6, Mon- 1.
Also, 76 +ve patients have recovered.
Kohima- 64, Tuensang- 6, Wokha- 4, Zunheboto- 2.
Total +ve cases- 11820

Among the new cases detected today, 24 are from among the traced contacts, 06 returnees/travellers & 03 front line workers, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4641 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,829 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4786 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 564 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 506 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 26 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 04 active cases are severe on oxygen and 01 active case is critical in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported sixty three (63) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 129 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
