Kohima, November 18 (NEx): Nagaland recorded a hike of 178 new COVID-19 positive cases today, November 18, taking the total count in the state to 10,366, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today.
Among the new cases detected, 158 cases were detected in Dimapur, 13 in Tuensang, 05 in Kohima and 02 in Peren, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1251. The Health Minister also cautioned to follow the 3 W’s: Wear Mask, Wash Hands & Watch Distance.
The state also reported 58 recoveries of COVID-19 patients today, out of which 30 patients recovered from Kohima and 28 from Dimapur, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 8,955.

Among the new cases detected today, 146 cases are from among the traced contacts, 23 are armed forces/ security personnel, 05 returnees/ travellers, and 03 among front line workers.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4,283 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 45% of the total tally, 1,747 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 3,859 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 477 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1207 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 22 active cases are mild, 13 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 03 active cases are severe on oxygen, 04 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 02 active cases are on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported forty eight (48) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and four (4) death cases are under investigation and 102 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
