Kohima, September 22 (NEx): Nagaland reported 93 new COVID-19 positive cases on Monday, September 21, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 5544, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Active cases stands at 1052.
Taking to Twitter, Pangnyu updated that 93 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 816 sample results received on Monday. Among the new cases detected, 77 cases are from Dimapur, 13 in Kohima, 1 each in Tuensang, Longleng and Phek district, informed Pangnyu.
Phom also informed of 223 recoveries of COVID-19 positive patients, out of which, 138 recovered from Kohima, and 85 from Dimapur district. Total recovery tally stands at 4451.
93 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed out of 816 results received.
77 in Dimapur, 13 in Kohima & 1 each in Tuensang, Longleng and Phek.
Also, State reports 223 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.

The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, issued COVID-19 bulletin and updated segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported in Nagaland till date. Out of the 93 new postive cases reported in the State, 64 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 5 returnees, 22 traced contacts and 2 front line worker were tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
Out of 5544 positive cases in the state, 2614 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1449 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 26%, 1154 are traced contacts which is 21% of total cases and 327 front line workers which sums at 06%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1022 active cases are asymptomatic, 22 active cases are mild and 02 cases moderate.
So far, the State has reported ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) COVID-19 patients death is not due to COVID-19 and three (3) death cases are under investigation while 26 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
