Kohima, May 22 (NEx): Nagaland reported 81 deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 8 days, from May 15 to 22, 2021, taking the death toll to 260, informed State Health department on Saturday.
Out of the 81 deaths reported in the last 8 days, 65 are reported from Dimapur, 11 from Kohima, 2 from Zunheboto, 1 each from Mokokchung, Phek and Wokha district, as per the Health department data.
The Health department informed that among all COVID-19 deaths reported in Dimapur till May 21, 2021, none had been fully vaccinated and only 8 had received the first dose of vaccine.
260 deaths in Nagaland due to COVID-19 till date:
Nagaland reported 260 deaths due to COVID-19 till date, informed Health department. Out of this 195 are reported in Dimapur, 47 in Kohima, 7 in Mokokchung, 6 in Zunheboto, 3 in Phek, 2 each Mon, Tuensang & Wokha and 1 death in Kiphire district.
Nagaland records 2314 new COVID cases in the last 8 days:
The State also registered 2314 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 8 days, from May 15 to May 22, 2021, Health Department data said. Out of this, 1038 are reported from Dimapur, 802 from Kohima, 92 from Mon, 96 from Mokokchung, 77 from Zunheboto, 59 from Phek, 55 from Tuensang, 35 from Wokha, 29 from Longleng, 18 from Peren and 13 from Kiphire district.
4,626 active COVID positive cases in Nagaland:
As on Saturday, May 22, Nagaland has 4,626 active COVID-19 positive cases.
