Nagaland records 76 new COVID positive cases & 100 recoveries on October 15

Kohima, October 15 (NEx): Nagaland reported 76 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 15, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 7492, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 38 cases were detected in Kohima, 15 in Tuensang, 11 in Dimapur, 05 in Mon, 03 each in Peren & Zunheboto and 01 in Mokokchung, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1448.

Also, the state reported 100 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 50 patients recovered from Mon, 27 from Kohima, 08 from Tuensang and 07 from Dimapur, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 5955.

Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 17 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 19 returnees and 36 traced contacts and 04 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.

Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3395 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 46% of the total tally, 1586 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 2134 are traced contacts which is 28% of total cases and 377 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1394 active cases are asymptomatic and among the symptomatic, 40 active cases are mild, 10 cases are moderate on oxygen, 02 are in critical condition in ICU with oxygen and 02 are in critical condition in ICU on ventilator.

So far, the State has reported seventeen (17) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not COVID-19 related and five (5) death cases are under investigation while 61 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
