Kohima, October 02 (NEx): Nagaland reported 74 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 02, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 6318, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 28 cases each are detected in Dimapur & Tuensang, 14 in Kohima and 4 in Mokokchung, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1085.
74 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.
28 each in Dimapur & Tuensang, 14 in Kohima and 4 in Mokokchung.
Also, State reports 67 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.
54 from Dimapur, 6 from Kohima, 5 from Mokokchung and 1 each from Mon & Zunheboto.

Also, the state reported 67 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, out of which, 54 patients recovered from Dimapur, 6 from Kohima, 5 from Mokokchung and 1 each from Mon & Zunheboto, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 5161.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 51 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 04 returnees and 19 traced contacts were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin by the department of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3025 positive cases are among the Armed Forces personnel, which is around 48% of the total tally, 1505 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 24%, 1442 are traced contacts which is 23% of total cases and 346 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1048 active cases are asymptomatic, 34 active cases are mild and 03 cases are moderate.
So far, the State has reported twelve (12) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and five (5) death cases are under investigation while 50 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
