Kohima, October 06 (NEx): Nagaland reported 68 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 06, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 6662, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 31 cases were detected in Dimapur, 29 in Kohima, 04 in Peren, 02 each in Mokokchung and Mon, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1179.
68 +ve cases of #COVID-19 detected today.
Dimapur- 31, Kohima-29, Peren- 4, Mokokchung- 2 & Mon- 2.
Also, 37 patients have been discharged.
Dimapur-28, Kohima- 4, Mon- 3, Phek-2.

Also, the state reported that 37 patients of COVID-19 were discharged today, out of which, 28 patients recovered from Dimapur, 04 from Kohima, 03 from Mon, and 02 from Phek, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 5408.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 24 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 05 returnees, 36 traced contacts and 03 front line workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin by the department of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3142 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1532 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 23%, 1633 are traced contacts which is 25% of total cases and 357 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1130 active cases are asymptomatic, 42 active cases mild, 05 cases moderate and 02 patients are critical in ICU with oxygen.
So far, the State has reported twelve (12) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and six (6) death cases are under investigation while 52 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
