Kohima, September 23 (NEx): Nagaland reported 67 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 23, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 5671, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Active cases stands at 1119.
Taking to Twitter, Pangnyu updated that 67 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 407 sample results received today. Among the new cases detected, 58 cases are from Kohima, 05 in Dimapur, 2 each in Mon & Tuensang, informed Pangnyu.
Out of 407 results received 67 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.
58 in Kohima, 5 in Dimapur & 2 each in Tuensang and Mon.
Also, State reports 16 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.
15 from Kohima & 1 from Wokha.

The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, issued the segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported today, out of the new 67 postive cases reported in the State, 45 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 03 returnees, 13 traced contacts and 06 front line worker tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
Also, 16 recoveries of COVID-19 positive patients were reported today, out of which, 15 recovered from Kohima and 01 from Wokha. Total recovery tally stands at 4509.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 2685 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1457 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 26%, 1192 are traced contacts which is 21% of total cases and 334 front line workers which sums at 06%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1099 active cases are asymptomatic, 16 active cases are mild and 01 case moderate and 02 cases are severe.
So far, the State has reported eleven (11) deaths of COVID-19 patients, while 27 postive cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
