Kohima, November 21 (NEx): Nagaland recorded 66 new COVID-19 positive cases today, November 21, taking the total count in the state to 10,674, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
Among the new cases detected, 51 cases were detected in Dimapur, 14 in Tuensang and 01 in Kohima, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1370. The Health Minister also cautioned to follow the 3 W’s: Wear Mask, Wash Hands & Watch Distance.
The state also reported 33 recoveries of COVID-19 patients today, out of which 28 patients recovered from Dimapur and 05 from Peren, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 9137.

Among the new cases detected today, 53 cases are from among the traced contacts, 09 are armed forces/ security personnel, and 02 each among returnees & front line workers.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4420 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 45% of the total tally, 1,753 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 3,997 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 504 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1323 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 26 active cases are mild, 11 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 04 active cases are severe on oxygen, 05 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 01 active cases are on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported fifty one (51) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and five (5) death cases are under investigation and 105 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
