Kohima, October 27 (NEx): Nagaland reported 63 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 27, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 8726, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 36 cases were detected in Dimapur, 18 in Kohima, 08 in Mon and 01 in Tuensang, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1860.
63 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today.
Dimapur- 36, Kohima- 18, Mon- 8, Tuensang- 1.
Also, 35 +ve patients have recovered.

Also, the state reported 35 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 19 patients recovered from Dimapur, 15 from Kohima, 01 from Mon, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 6755.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 08 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel/security personnel, 01 returnee/traveller, 47 traced contacts and 07 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3815 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 45% of the total tally, 1636 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 2847 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 428 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1764 active cases are asymptomatic and among the symptomatic, 70 active cases are mild, 16 cases are moderate on oxygen and 04 severe on oxygen, while, 06 patients are in critical condition in ICU, out of which, 03 patients are with oxygen and 03 on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported twenty seven (27) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not COVID-19 related and five (5) death case is under investigation while 73 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
