Kohima, December 08 (NEx): Nagaland reported 61 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 08, taking the total count in the state to 11,479, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 35 cases were detected in Kohima, 22 in Dimapur and 02 each in Wokha & Zunheboto, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 628.
The state also reported 08 recoveries from COVID-19 today where 05 patients recovered from Kohima and 03 from Peren, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 10,666. He also cautioned all to Wear Mask, Keep Distance and Stay Safe.

Kohima- 35, Dimapur- 22, Wokha- Zunheboto- 2 each.
Also, 8 +ve patients have recovered.

Among the new cases detected today, 36 cases are from among the traced contacts, 19 among armed forces/ security personnel and 06 returnees/traveller, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4608 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 40% of the total tally, 1,796 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4522 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 553 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 576 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 34 active cases are mild,13 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 04 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 01 is on ventilator. Also, 358 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.
So far, the State has reported sixty (60) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 115 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
