Kohima, September 24 (NEx): Nagaland reported 59 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 24, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 5730, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Active cases stands at 1088.
Taking to Twitter, Pangnyu updated that 59 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 716 sample results received today. Among the new cases detected, 46 cases are detected in Dimapur, 8 in Kohima, 4 in Zunheboto & 1 in Mon, informed Pangnyu.
Out of 716 results received 59 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.

Also, State reports 89 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.

Also, the state reported 89 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, out of which, 45 recovered from Kohima, 39 from Dimapur, 3 from Zunheboto & 2 from Tuensang, updated Pangnyu. Total recovery tally stands at 4598.
The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, issued COVID-19 bulletin and updated segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported in Nagaland for today. Out of the new postive cases reported in the State, 31 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 05 returnees, 21 traced contacts and 02 front line worker tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 2716 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1462 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 26%, 1216 are traced contacts which is 21% of total cases and 336 front line workers which sums at 06%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1075 active cases are asymptomatic, 10 active cases are mild, 02 cases are severe and one (1) is on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported eleven (11) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and two (2) death cases are under investigation while 28 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
