Kohima, November 29 (NEx): Nagaland recorded 44 new COVID positive cases today, November 29, 2020, taking the total tally to 11,159, updated the Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
Out of the total new cases reported today, 27 cases were detected in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima and 01 in Tuensang. Active cases stands at 1087.
The state also recorded 174 recoveries of COVID patients taking the total count to 9898, updated Pangnyu Phom. Out of the total recoveries, 140 recovered from Dimapur, 30 from Kohima, 03 from Tuensang and 01 from Phek.

Also, 174 +ve patients have recovered.

Among the new cases detected today, 29 cases are from among the traced contacts, 10 among armed forces/ security personnel, 03 returnee/traveller and 02 front line workers.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4548 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 41% of the total tally, 1,773 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4314 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 524 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1018 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 53 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 04 active cases are critical in ICU with oxygen and 02 are on ventilator. Also, 540 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.
So far, the State has reported fifty seven (57) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 107 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
