Kohima, October 05 (NEx): Nagaland reported 42 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 05, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 6594, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 30 cases were detected in Dimapur, 08 cases in Mon and 04 in Kohima, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1149.
42 +ve cases of #COVID-19 detected today.
Dimapur- 30, Mon-8, Kohima-4.
Also, 113 patients have been discharged.
Kohima- 73, Dimapur-40.

Also, the state reported 113 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, out of which, 73 patients recovered from Kohima and 40 from Dimapur, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 5371.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 17 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 02 returnees and 23 traced contacts were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin by the department of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3118 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1525 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 24%, 1597 are traced contacts which is 24% of total cases and 354 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1108 active cases are asymptomatic, 34 active cases mild, 06 cases moderate and 01 case is severe.
So far, the State has reported twelve (12) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and six (6) death cases are under investigation while 51 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
