Kohima, December 07 (NEx): Nagaland reported 39 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 07, taking the total count in the state to 11,418, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 23 cases were detected in Kohima, 09 in Tuensang, 06 in Dimapur and 01 in Kiphire, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 576.
The state also reported 05 recoveries from COVID-19 today and all the patients recovered from Kohima, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 10,658.

Also, 5 +ve patients have recovered from Kohima.

Among the new cases detected today, 32 cases are from among the traced contacts, 03 among armed forces/ security personnel, 01 from returnees/travellers and 03 are frontline workers, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4589 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 40% of the total tally, 1,790 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4486 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 553 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 517 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 40active cases are mild, 14 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 05 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 01 is on ventilator. Also, 352 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.
So far, the State has reported fifty nine (59) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 115 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
